In 1912, a Johor government electrical engineer named Al Birch brought in the first set of radio to Malaysia. This is how the history of radio in Malaysia began. Through the efforts of many people including Sir Earl of the Singapore Port Authority, Sir Shenton Thomas and all the unnamed personnel, Malaysia got their broadcast station.
